This craft has been in practice since the 18th century. The experienced craftsmen of the regions chisel beautiful shapes, figures, deities, and artefacts from Ivory wood. The wood is then painted with naturally obtained dyes, making the toys eco friendly and non-toxic for the kids. Etikoppaka Toys is an Exclusive GI of Andhra Pradesh and was awarded a GI certification in the year 2017.
